Lauren Biddle Kain
Lauren Biddle Kain is the Program Director of East Coast Explorers. Lauren curates well tailored, immersive programs that illuminate the rich histories of Philadelphia & Gettysburg. Lauren is well connected with educators, historians, and cultural interpreters. She is known for crafting learning experiences that are both intellectually engaging and personally meaningful. With high expectations and attention to details, she works tirelessly to ensure her customers have the best possible experience within their timeframe and budget. Although Lauren is considered an expert in planning programs in Philadelphia & Gettysburg, she has contacts and connections throughout the East Coast to provide the same level of planning throughout.
Lauren resides in the suburbs of Philadelphia with her two daughters, her husband, her special needs sister and her Black Lab. Lauren follows in her mothers footsteps of planning and curating programs. Her mother, Margaret “Pixie” Biddle was known for her humor, wit and above all knowledge.
Lauren continues to distinguish herself through her warmth, clarity, and natural leadership. As the Director and Curator, she oversees the design and delivery of programs that highlight the East Coast’s most iconic cultural and historical landscapes. Lauren can assist you in planning an adventure with thoughtful program design to invite customers to see familiar history with fresh eyes and to experience each destination with curiosity, context, and connection.
Tish Byrne
Tish Byrne is an artist, historian, and passionate advocate for her native Philadelphia. Tish is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where she later served as assistant to the Director. She earned her BFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and pursued graduate studies at the University of Oxford.
An accomplished cultural guide, Tish is a master guide for Mural Arts Philadelphia and a docent at Historic Christ Church. She leads explorations of Philadelphia’s landmarks and serves as an exclusive guide for the city’s five-star hotels, offering visitors unique and immersive historical experiences.
A founding co-chair of the Young Friends of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, she is also a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Academy of Vocal Arts. She has lived in London, San Francisco, and Carmel.
Mitchell Kramer
Mitchell Kramer is an accomplished actor and historian who has become widely recognized for his portrayal of Benjamin Franklin.
With a career spanning several decades, Mitchell has performed as Franklin for numerous organizations throughout the country including many appearances on ABC’s Good Morning America.
Mitchell’s expertise and approachable demeanor make him a sought-after speaker and performer, and his vast experience has made him a respected figure in the historical community.
Mitchell Kramer is on the Board of Directors of Mount Sinai Cemetery, founded in 1856. He is a member of the Association of Philadelphia Tour Guides. He is a shareholder of the Library Company of Philadelphia.
